General Surgery


Our practice, led by Dr. Babak (Bobby) Eghbalieh, brings general surgery services with subspecialties in surgical oncology and advanced robotic surgery to offer a wide range of surgical needs, including but not limited to primary and metastatic tumors of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, biliary tree, stomach and foregut, colon and rectal, sarcomas, melanoma, surgical management of acute and chronic pancreatitis, hernia repair with complex abdominal wall reconstruction, advanced robotic and minimally invasive as well as general surgical procedures.

In particular, Dr. Bobby strives to offer surgical options to patients battling pancreatic cancer that have previously been considered borderline resectable or not surgical candidates. Offering hope to men and women battling cancer is our greatest passion. Dr. Bobby is the most experienced surgeon in the San Fernando Valley with more robotic cases than any other surgeon in the region. There is truly nothing better than having a master surgeon with skills second to none, paired with a person who truly connects with you as a patient.

Pancreatic and Robotic Surgeon

Dr. Babak (Bobby) Eghbalieh specializes in Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery as well as General Surgery with advanced training in Robotic Surgery. He completed his residency in General Surgery at UCSF Fresno. Underwent further training in Pancreatic and Hepatobiliary Surgery at UCSF Fresno. Underwent further training in Pancreatic and Hepatobiliary Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He is a certified robotic surgeon, Robotic instructor, Proctor for Da Vinci Surgical System and one of only 20 Surgeons nationally who are recognized as Robotic Surgery Epicenters.

Dr. Eghbalieh is an associate clinical Professor of Surgery from UCSF, where he spent the last decade as Academic Faculty at UCSF, Department of Surgery. During his tenure at UCSF, he served in many roles including: Vice Chair of Surgery, DIrector of Robotic Surgery, Co-Director of the HPB & GI Oncology, Cancer Liaison Physician (CLP) to the Commission of Cancer, Chair of Cancer Committee, as well as the Chairman of the Executive Committee at the Community Medical Centers (CMC) in fresno, CA. Over the years he has accumulated numerous accolades including: “American Cancer Society 2012 Physician Innovation Award” for his work with Pancreatic Cancer patients, Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s “2015 Man of the Year for Central CA’ as well as “Outstanding Leadership Award” 2017 for his role in CMC Cancer Committee. He has been very active in teaching the next generation of Surgeons as well as multiple research publications, abstracts, presentations at national meetings and book chapters. Dr. Eghbalieh takes pride in providing excellent multi-disciplinary care for his patients.
